Fanatics and the Fan are hosting their annual Geekmas celebration on Saturday, December 7, 2019, in Springfield, MO, at The Creamery Arts Center. (Learn more here.) This nerdy/geeky Christmas-time event features awesome vendors with all kinds of nerdy/geeky stuff to buy for everyone on your holiday shopping list. There will also be fun photos ops (Mickey Mouse will be there!), tabletop gaming, and more.
Playco Games has been invited to host the tabletop gaming area this year. We'll have all of our own board game titles to play plus a small library of family-fun games and a few holiday-themed activities planned. Contender eSports - Springfield will be there too, handling the electronic gaming side of the fun.
The Nerd Informants are co-hosting this year's event with Fanatics and the Fan. It's $5 to get in or $3 if you are in costume or wearing an "ugly" Christmas sweater. There will be a cosplay contest and a drawing for a 3-D printer with proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project! Also, everyone is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be donated to Toys For Tots.
We will be selling our Playco Games titles for the convention discount of $25 each OR you can buy a copy to be added to the Toys For Tots donation box for just $15. We'll most likely spend the rest of December enjoying time with our families and we hope that you all have the chance to do the same. (With your families, that is, not necessarily ours. 😉) Then, our 1st order of business in January 2020 is to get the Epic Monster Tea Party Expansion on Kickstarter!
